Artist Statement: "I love colour and am moved by it. I take photographs of landscapes and respond to these images in my paintings, but it's the colours I see rather than the images themselves that inspires my work. My photos provide a starting point for paintings that evolve through a dynamic process in which I focus on my intuitive interaction with colours instead of the reproduction of static images".
